Graduated in Medical Biological Sciences (1982), PhD in Immunology at the University of São Paulo (1991), post-doctorate at the Pasteur Institute, France (1993). She is a PhD Professor at the Department of Dermatology, USP School of Medicine (2002) and responsible for the Medical Research Laboratory, LIM56 (2021). She has experience in the area of Immunology, with emphasis on innate immunity and functional profile of cells of adaptive immunity, in the presence of viral infections (Zika, HIV), in the context of maternal-fetal interface and vaccine response in neonates. She studies the immunopathogenesis of cutaneous diseases (lichen planus, chronic spontaneous urticaria, allergic contact dermatitis, cutaneous T lymphoma and cutaneous aging). She serves on the Immunology Advisory Committee (2018-2022). She is a CNPq research productivity fellow level 1C.
