She is Professor of Statistics at the University of Oxford (UK), Executive Chair of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), and Co-Founder of Dalton Tx.

She leads the Oxford Protein Informatics Group, where she develops open-access algorithms and tools widely used in academia and industry for drug discovery.

Her work focuses on the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine, with an emphasis on protein modeling and computational approaches for drug discovery and healthcare innovation.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she served as a member of the UK government’s SAGE advisory group and as COVID-19 Response Director at UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).

She is a Fellow of the International Society for Computational Biology and advises on UK national AI-for-Science strategies, including the OpenBind initiative aimed at advancing AI-driven drug discovery.

She currently serves as Professor of Statistics at the University of Oxford and Executive Chair of EPSRC (UK).
