Artur Roberto Couto has a master’s degree in Economics from Cândido Mendes University, an executive MBA from Coppead/UFRJ and a postgraduate degree in Public Administration from FGV. With more than 35 years of experience in public health management, he was President of the Association of Official Laboratories of Brazil (ALFOB) and director of Bio-Manguinhos / Fiocruz, where he initiated the construction project of two new manufacturing areas.
He is currently a member of the Scientific Board of Hemobrás, member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Molecular Biology of Paraná (IBMP), Superintendent Director of the Ataulpho de Paiva Foundation (FAP) and deputy director of Management and Market of Bio-Manguinhos/Fiocruz, where he coordinates the implementation of the Health Biotechnology Industrial Complex (CIBS), in Santa Cruz, and the Strategic Inputs Technological Complex (CTIE), in Ceará.
