Sue Ann Costa Clemmens is an infectious disease doctor and pediatrician, and one of the main researchers in the clinical development of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19. In over 25 years of experience, she has contributed to the development of over 20 globally licensed vaccines and pharmaceuticals.
She is currently Professor of Global Health, Vaccinology and Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Oxford and the University of Siena, where she is Director of the Institute for Global Health, as well as a senior advisor to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
