Renato Mancini Astray has a PhD in Science from the University of São Paulo (USP) and the University of Strasbourg (France), a master’s degree in Biotechnology from USP and an MBA in Health Innovation Management from the Butantan Institute. He has extensive scientific production in the area of recombinant expression of viral molecules in insect and mammalian cell systems.
He is currently director of the Multipurpose Laboratory at the Butantan Institute, where he is focused on the development of viral vaccines with an emphasis on projects with innovative potential, and institutional representative in the international networks GLOPID-R and Vax-Hub.
