Antonio Gomes Pinto Ferreira holds a doctorate in Biosciences and Biotechnology from the Carlos Chagas Institute/Fiocruz, a master’s degree in Technology of Immunobiologicals from Fiocruz, and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from UERJ. He has experience and expertise in diagnostic platforms based on immunochromatography and lateral flow (Rapid tests, point-of-care), ELISA assays, IFA, molecular assays based on real-time PCR, LAMP, multi-serological tests, and liquid and solid microarrays. He occasionally participates in Technical-Scientific Committees supporting Centralized Programs coordinated by the Ministry of Health, focusing on diagnosis, providers of Quality Control Programs, and Hemotherapy. He works in Development, Production, and Quality Control within the diagnostic segment. Currently, he is a Senior Technologist stationed at Bio-Manguinhos/Fiocruz and holds the position of Deputy Director of reagents for diagnosis, focusing on infectious diseases and blood-transmitted infections.
