Emmanuel Agogo specializes in Primary/Community Health and Infectious Diseases. He has collaborated with various organizations to unveil the 100 Days Mission Route Map, a significant investment aimed at enhancing diagnostic readiness across multiple pillars. Prior to joining FIND, he held several key positions in public health leadership in Nigeria and Africa. As the Deputy Director of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), he played a crucial role in strengthening the country’s disease surveillance and response systems. Additionally, he served as the National Director for Resolve to Save Lives in Nigeria, where he led innovative initiatives for pandemic preparedness at both national and subnational levels. He has also consulted for the World Health Organization, the African Union – Africa Risk Capacity, and the World Bank on pandemic preparedness and funding. Previously, he was a Fellow in Leadership in Biosecurity at the Johns Hopkins Centre for Health Security, a Leadership Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and a Leadership Fellow at the Kofi Annan Africa CDC. He is a co-author of book chapters on surveillance and epidemiology and has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles. He serves as the Director of Pandemic Threats at FIND (Foundation for Innovative Diagnostics) in Geneva, where he leads strategic efforts to enhance diagnostic readiness in relation to pandemic threats. His work at FIND includes the launch of the Pandemic Diagnostic Readiness Index (PDxRI), which identifies global gaps in the diagnosis of outbreak-prone diseases. He is also an adjunct professor at the Global Health Institute at Nasarawa State University in Nigeria and a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, as well as an Honorary Member of the Faculty of Public Health in the United Kingdom.
