André Siqueira holds a degree in Medicine from the University of Brasília, a Medical Residency in Infectious Diseases from the University of São Paulo, a doctorate in tropical diseases from the State University of Amazonas (UEA)/Dr. Heitor Vieira Dourado Foundation for Tropical Medicine, and a Master’s in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, England. He has studies funded by national and international funding agencies. He works as a researcher, attending physician, professor, and consultant on topics related to acute febrile illnesses, both nationally and internationally, conducting epidemiological studies and clinical trials on therapy and prevention of malaria, arboviral diseases, coronaviruses, and syndromic approaches. He coordinates the Clinical and Applied Research Network on Chikungunya (REPLICK) and leads the global dengue program of the Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative (DNDi).
