Bruno Solano has a degree in medicine from the Federal University of Bahia, a doctorate in Human Pathology from the same University, a master’s degree in Biotechnology in Health and Investigative Medicine from Fiocruz and an MBA in the area of health management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He worked as a visiting researcher at the Neuroimmunology Laboratory at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, and at the Innovative Genomics Institute, University of California at Berkeley, United States. He was part of the management of the Brazilian Cellular Therapy Association, as 1st secretary and treasurer and was a level 2 productivity fellow from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. He is a researcher in Public Health at the Gonçalo Moniz Institute, Fiocruz-Bahia, and at the D’Or Institute for Research and Education (IDOR). He is a coordinating physician and technical manager at the Center for Biotechnology and Cell Therapy at Hospital São Rafael, working on clinical and translational research projects with a main focus on the areas of cell therapy, regenerative medicine, gene editing, CRISPR/Cas9 and biomarker studies.
