Julio Croda has a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Bahia, a medical residency in Infectious Diseases and a doctorate from the University of São Paulo. He was president of Rede-TB, the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine and director of the Department of Immunizations and Communicable Diseases (DEIDT) of the Health Surveillance Secretariat (SVS) of the Ministry of Health.
He is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul and the School of Public Health at Yale University, as well as a Specialist in Science, Technology, Production and Innovation in Public Health at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in Mato Grosso do Sul.
