Mario Moreira has a degree in Business Administration from Universidade Gama Filho, a PhD in Public Policy from the Federal University of Paraná, with a doctoral internship at the Center for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra in Portugal. Master in Innovation and Technology Management from Sussex University in the United Kingdom, Master in Public Health from the National School of Public Health Sérgio Arouca ENSP Fiocruz, specialized in Marketing from the Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Administration at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and in Public Management from the Brazilian School of Public Administration Fundação Getulio Vargas. He has extensive experience in the area of Management and Institutional Development, working mainly on public management, technological development and innovation in health products, technology and innovation management, technology transfer.
He worked in various management positions (finance, budget, planning) and as a management advisor at the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. At Fiocruz in the role of Health Management Analyst, he worked in management and direction positions at the Institute of Technology in Immunobiological Bio-Manguinhos, served in the management (deputy director of management and institutional development) of the Carlos Chagas Institute and main executive of the Institute of Molecular Biology of Paraná. He held the position of Vice-President of Management and Institutional Development at Fiocruz and is currently the President of the Institution.
