Zilton Vasconcelos holds a degree in Biological Sciences, Medical Modality, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, as well as a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Immunology, from the same university. He completed postdoctoral studies at Seattle Children’s Hospital in the United States and at the Center for Physiopathology of Toulouse-Purpan, France.
With expertise in Immunology, focusing on Cellular and Molecular Immunology, he primarily works on inborn errors of immunity, congenital infections, and precision medicine in rare pediatric diseases.
He previously served as Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Applied Research on Women’s and Children’s Health at the Fernandes Figueira Institute. Currently, he is a public health researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and the Coordinator of Education at IFF.
