Denizar Vianna has a PhD in Public Health from the Institute of Social Medicine of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and has training in Evidence-Based Clinical Practice using the McMaster University method, in addition to an MBA from COPPEAD/Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a master’s degree in Cardiology from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).
He was Pro-Rector of Health at UERJ; Secretary of Science, Technology, Innovation and Strategic Inputs at the Ministry of Health, Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and Coordinator of the Center of Excellence at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). He is currently a full professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).
